All the children in Class 4 now have access to an individual laptop. Work continues to be added to ‘MOODLE’ - Forton’s Virtual Learning Environment, where children have been able to access work out of school hours on a range of school subjects, such as Maths, Literacy, Topic etc. The children this term will be looking at Safety on the Internet, text and graphics - making a storybook.
We follow the Abacus Scheme Evolve.
In Literacy we are doing work linked to Beatrix Potter.
This terms topic is The Lake District. The juniors will be going on a trip to Bowness, the Beatrix Potter Museum, Aquarium of the Lakes and a ferry ride in late September.
The children are looking at sound, how the ear works, sound proofing and how sound travels through different mediums.
The children will be drawing, painting, printing in 3D and looking at Digital Photography. In DT we will be making story books with moving parts, linked to Beatrix Potter.
The children will be participating in Invasion Games:- hockey, high 5, football, tag rugby, attack and defence skills, plus swimming.
